Shannon Street Cable Tunnel - Blackpool

Structural refurbishment of cable tunnel involving;

  • Spray and hand applied concrete repairs to existing roof slab soffits
  • Sealing of ground water ingress using injected polyurethane resin grout
  • Maintenance painting of structural steelwork and cable support using ultra high pressure water jetting and two pack epoxy paints
  • Provision of new structural steelwork
  • Removal and replacement of defective roof slab using diamond sawing techniques to minimise noise, dust and vibration
  • Waterproofing of new and existing roof slabs
  • Reconstruction of concrete tunnel invert
